So, we took the summer of here @ The Women of C3 site, but now we’re back and ready to get to work.
Please be sure to check the Calendar Page often for reminders of activities coming up over the next few months.
In the meantime, there is an urgent point of concern, so I am CALLING ALL GRACEFUL BARBARIANS….
I wrote this on my blog this morning:
Byron preached about this yesterday @ C3...about denying yourself, taking up your cross and following.
With this in mind, I’m thinking that the best way for me to get my eyes off of myself is to focus on others. And there are so many others to focus on…
There is a young lady in our church that has moved to the states from Cuba. I found out yesterday that the rest of her family will join her soon. Especially in light of the hurricanes, but also because of where they are coming from, they will arrive with very little…if anything…in their possession. There are two boys coming – one 14 and one 5 who will be in desperate need of all the things boys need…from clothes to basic supplies. Also, the home in which they will be living will be full – 10 people in 1 house! – so there is a great need for basic supplies to make a busy household run….
So, I’m focused…on this immediate need – on what I can do to help….
…and I’m asking you to consider joining me.” -Angie
Here’s my plan, as of now – I’m sure it will continue to develop as the week unfolds:
- I’m going to – with the aid of the other pastor’s wives – gather supplies for the family: i.e. canned goods, paper products, toiletries, clothing, shoes, school supplies, etc.
- Avalon Park is having an “community yard sale” on October 4th – I will be participating, taking donated supplies that day, and all of the proceeds will go toward purchasing more supplies for the family.
- If you desire to help or make donations, please send your email info to:
womenofc3@c3orlando.com (your email will not be displayed on the blog site, for security purposes).
Please consider helping…it’s all about love…
…and LOVE WINS!

Angie,
I would love to donate clothes, shoes, toys galore! We have way to many things we dont use and I would love to put in the yard sale and help raise money for this great cause! Please let me know where to bring all of my “junk that is someone elses treasure” and the deadline to do this! Thank you and I will pass the word on to see if I can help collect from my family and friends. The more we have to give the better!
Warmest Regards,
Alexie and Family
